However all the methods are tested and proved damage free.Use of any kind of patch, kegen or trick is illegal and you should not involve in such activities. Also, after a re-install of XP on my Dell computer, I cannot download the Windows "Updates" because it will not complete the "validation" process.Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated. I attempted to re-install the OS and activation failed with a message that the disk had been activated too many times and the number was no longer valid. Both legal copies, so the installation progressed normally, but they refused to update."A plot by Microsoft to p*$$ off XP-users", I thought.Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoft Windows NTCurrent Version] “Current Build”=”1.511.1 () (Obsolete data – do not use)” “Product Id”=”55274-640-1011873-23081″ “Digital Product Id”=hex:a4,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,35,35,32,37,34,2d,36,34,30,2d, 31,30,31,31,38,37,33,2d,32,33,30,38,31,00,2e,00,00,00,41,32,32,2d,30,30,30, 30,31,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,86,56,4e,4c,21,1b,2b,6a,a3,78,8e,8f,98,5c,00,00, 00,00,00,00,dd,da,47,41,cc,6b,06,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00, 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,38,31,30,32,36,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,b5,16, 00,00,83,83,1f,38,f8,01,00,00,f5,1c,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00, 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,66,e5,70,f3 “License Info”=hex:33,b7,21,c1,e5,e7,cd,4b,fd,7c,c6,35,51,fd,52,57,17,86,3e,18, d3,f4,8c,8e,35,32,7b,d1,43,8d,61,38,60,a4,ca,55,c9,9a,35,17,46,7a,4f,91,fc, 4a,d9,db,64,5c,c4,e2,0f,34,f3,ea [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoft Windows NTCurrent Version WPAEvents] “OOBETimer”=hex:ff,d5,71,d6,8b,6a,8d,6f,d5,33,93,fd2. Depends upon how far back we're going, but if it's XP Pro, there used to be a loads of counterfeit copies on e Bay with a volume licence key, since blacklisted.3 Re XP: Until recently, it had been years before I did an XP reinstall, but had a couple just recently.
Are you using different product keys for both installations? The XP installation disk which I use for the installs on my Dell Dimension 4700 originally came from Dell with the purchase of a new Dimension 8400 and is fully "legal" with the "key code".
When the "8400" ended up with major hardware problems, I purchased a used "4700" which did not come with a OS installation disk so I am using the XP installation disk from the old "8400" and still legal.
Admittedly XP has been always my "experimental" OS and I had used it many times. The problem that we are having with my friends XP "re=install" is somewhat different in that it has only been used (installed) two times before.
Instead,, when using the "telephone" method for activation and going through all of Microsoft's "hoops", it finally comes back and says that it is not a valid Microsoft product (implying that it is counterfeit) and that we should return it to the retailer.
